Everyday Essentials to carry with you Everywhere

Don't get out of your house without bringing these.

American comedian, Adam Sandler, made a popular rap song called, "Phone, Wallet, Keys." He raps that when he heads out, all he needs are his phone, wallet, and keys. As the song goes on, he realizes that he actually needs more and more things!

They say that the contents of your bag reveal a whole lot about where you are in life. Proof of that is the enduring popularity of vlog challenges like "What's inside my bag?"

What are the essentials?

Every person's bag contents are widely different. A dog owner will have accoutrements that you won't find in a nursing mother's bag. But some things are absolutely necessary, whoever you are.

As you rise in your work and in life, you must carry with you the most important things. But you also can't overdo it! Whether you're an international comedian, a fashion model or the office assistant rising the corporate ladder, you need to carry these everyday essentials.

8 Things You Should Always Carry With You:

1.  Hand sanitizer

With Coronavirus threatening the country, everyone must have a hand sanitizer ready. We all come into contact with a host of germs in a day. From touching doorknobs, lift buttons, or the screens of our phones, they are everywhere. The hand sanitizer isn't a replacement for proper handwashing. But it's definitely handy to have when you can't get to a sink right away.

2. Petroleum Jelly or Vaseline

This is one multi-functional product that should always be in your bag. Chapped lips? Blisters? Smudged eyeliner? Dry heels? A small tube of Vaseline can help solve all of that.

3. Breath Mints

Nothing's more embarrassing than bad breath. Don't leave the house without breath mints.

4. Cash stash

Your bag should have a hidden compartment that can keep a small amount of cash. While your wallet may be the most important thing you take with you, there might be a time you won't have it on you. In undesirable cases like leaving the wallet at home, getting robbed, or accidentally forgetting where you placed it, a secret stash for emergencies saves the day.

5. Tote Bag

Reduce plastic waste by having a chic and light-weight tote bag ready for use. When going out shopping or going around the city doing chores, a classic BWG tote bag is a durable container for your purchases and things.

6. Medication

Even if you're not medicating for anything, there are a few meds you should always have with you. Always carry anti-allergy pills.

7. Healthy Snack

A power bar, saltine crackers, or snack sticks keep you from starvation. When you're running about the city and lunch is still hours away, stave off the hunger by taking a healthy snack. Having one easily accessible in your bag stops you from ordering fast food (which is unhealthy) and spending unnecessarily (which is unwise).

8. Notebook

A notebook may seem like a bulky item to carry. But there's a great benefit of having a blank canvass when creativity strikes. Jot down ideas and information whenever, wherever.

Life can throw a lot of surprises at us. It's better to be prepared and armed whatever the situation may come our way.
