With new lockdown restrictions, it's evident that we will once again be spending more time in our rooms again. It's not about the size or the interior decoration that matters when it comes to our personal space. Yes, having an aesthetic room makes us happy and proud. But by the end of the day, what's important is that the room is fresh and clean.

1. Give love to your walls - a fresh coat of paint or new rolls of wallpaper may not be within the budget right now. That's alright. One affordable and doable way to bring back the lustre of your walls is quite simple. Wipe them clean!
You may not realize this but walls can accumulate dirt. That's not just paint withering but there may be a layer of dust that has already settled. Having children and pets can also cause more dirt. So we must clean our walls regularly.
First, determine the type of paint that is on the wall. Cement walls with enamel or semi-gloss finish can withstand washing. But wood with stain or eggshell finishing is not as durable. You must not use a harsh cleaner.
Second, you must dust your walls before washing them down. A vacuum cleaner should do the trick here. Wipe down all surfaces to remove dirt and dust. Lay towels along the floor to make sure water doesn't mess the rest of your room. Use the gentlest cleaner you have and test if it will do the job. If some stains are hard to clean, work your way up to a different strength cleaning solution.
2. Change Up Your Bedding - you may change your bedsheets often but not your bed linen or bedclothes! Now is the perfect time to change all parts completely. Get your mattress power washed and change into fresh bedding. Perhaps you can also restrict yourself from laying on the bed when you have not yet changed into clean clothes and washed your hands. This will ensure your sleeping area is clean and tidy.
3. Change Out Your Window Treatments - The same goes for your curtains. No matter how pretty these installations maybe, they acquire plenty of dust and dirt. Vacuuming can help remove the dust but if you really want them clean, invest in a dry cleaning service. For blinds, you should also frequently wipe them clean.
4. Change up some of your decors - if you have a little budget to spare, getting a new carpet, disposing of old chairs, and improving lighting makes a world of difference for your room.
